Hani Farahat is the first Arab to conduct an international orchestra on the most famous stages in London

Maestro Hany Farahat is preparing to lead the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a grand concert to be held at Central Hall, Westminster, in central London, on Saturday, September 28.

He is thus the first Arab to lead an international orchestra, a first of its kind for an Arab musician.

The ceremony is part of the Saudi Heritage Dissemination Initiative. The concert comes as part of an initiative to spread Saudi musical heritage around the world, and Farhat will conduct both the British Philharmonic Orchestra and the Saudi Orchestra.

The concert will witness a unique musical fusion of Arabic and British melodies, making it an exceptional experience that combines the two cultures.

Proud and happy for the first experience Maestro Hani Farhat expressed his pride in this experience, saying: “Conducting the orchestra in this global theater that hosted the greatest musicians in history is a great honor. This concert is the culmination of previous successes, and I have participated in several concerts this year alongside Arab singing stars.”

Farhat stressed that mixing musicians of different nationalities to present Arabic melodies gives them a new dimension and makes them closer to the Western listener.

The concert is held under the patronage of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Culture, and is organized by the Saudi Music Authority as part of the “Masterpieces of the Saudi Orchestra” tours, which aim to enhance Saudi cultural and artistic presence on the international scene. The concert is being held in London due to its rich cultural heritage and great musical diversity.
