7DOGS enters the Guinness Book of Records by breaking two world records

Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, announced a historic achievement for the highly anticipated film 7 Dogs, after it entered the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking two world records for special effects and explosions.

This unprecedented success is the first of its kind in the history of Arab cinema, and represents a turning point that places the Kingdom at the forefront of the modern film industry.

An unprecedented global achievement ‎

Al-Sheikh shared a behind-the-scenes video on his official Facebook page, explaining that with the support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and in cooperation with various security sectors, the film managed to set two new world records. The first is for the largest cinematic explosion in history, having surpassed the previous record of 68.47 tons of TNT held by Spectre (2015), bringing the total to 170.7 tons for 7 Dogs. The second is for the largest detonation of highly explosive materials in a single scene, reaching 405.85 kilograms of TNT, surpassing No Time To Die (2021).

Saudi cinema on the international stage ‎

Al-Sheikh affirmed that this achievement reflects the development of the Kingdom's film industry and places it firmly on the global cinema map. He noted that the film will soon be shown in cinemas, serving as a clear announcement of the launch of a new era for Saudi cinema, with production capabilities that rival the biggest international films.

Details of the massive production of the movie 7 DOGS The film is considered the largest Arab production, with a budget exceeding $40 million. It is based on a story by Turki Al-Sheikh, with a screenplay and dialogue by Mohammed Al-Dabbah, and directed by ADEL and BELAL. Starring prominent stars from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, most notably Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Nasser Al-Qasabi, and Sayed Ragab, reflecting the scope and artistic importance of the project.

The film revolves around Khaled El-Azazy, an Interpol officer played by Ahmed Ezz, who finds himself forced to ally with Ghali Abu Daoud, one of the leaders of the mysterious "Seven Dogs" gang, played by Karim Abdel Aziz.
