Achievement Award: Ahmed Helmy Honored at the "Hollywood for Arab Film"

The opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the Hollywood Arab Film Festival witnessed the honoring of Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy with the Superstar Achievement Award, amidst a warm welcome from the audience.

During the honoring ceremony, Ahmed Helmy addressed the audience, expressing his happiness and deep gratitude to the festival's management for their warm welcome and his great pride in them for portraying Egypt's name in a respectable light abroad. He also thanked the star Elham Shaheen, commenting, "By God, this Egypt would honor anyone in the world, and Egyptians have always been great wherever they are."

He added about his honor: "If I talk about the honor, it is the best honor. By God, one is honored in a country so far from his work."

Ahmed Helmy wished the festival success, concluding: "I wish the festival success and hope it reaches and exceeds its 100th edition. I am proud of all the efforts made here. I am proud that I am an Egyptian being honored in America."

Jury and Activities of the Fourth Hollywood Arab Film Festival Helmy was welcomed by Michael Bakhoum, the festival's director; Ibrahim Mikhail, the festival's artistic director; Marilyn Soliman, the festival's strategic director; and actress Elham Shaheen, head of the jury; and screenwriter Haitham Dabbour, author of "Day," which was screened during the opening ceremony and in which Ahmed Helmy stars in a special appearance. A group of Arab filmmakers residing in the United States were also in attendance.

The fourth edition of the Hollywood Arab Film Festival is scheduled to run until April 13th, as part of the celebration of Arab Heritage Month. The festival aims to create a new space for Arab filmmakers and introduce Western audiences to Arab cinema and its creators.
