After being ranked in Forbes.. Who is Taiba Abdul Rahim Al Hashemi?

CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas, a joint venture with Occidental and one of the world's largest sour gas producers and a major global producer of sulfur.

Ms. Taiba Al Hashemi, who began her career at ADNOC in 2002, is one of three female executives appointed to lead ADNOC's operating companies.

Prior to assuming her current position, she held a number of senior positions, including CEO of Al Yasat Petroleum Operations, ADNOC's newest joint operating company and its first partnership with China National Petroleum Corporation, from 2018 to 2020.

Who is Taiba Al Hashemi? In her role as Senior Vice President, Undeveloped Reservoirs in the Exploration and Production Department from 2016 to 2018, she played a critical role in unlocking offshore and onshore hydrocarbon reserves to support ADNOC’s strategy to achieve gas self-sufficiency for the UAE and the successful delivery of the Ghasha project, the largest gas project Marine acid in the world.

She contributed to the restructuring of ADNOC's exploration and development strategies in her position as Senior Vice President of Exploration in the Exploration and Production Department, which she assumed in 2015.

Between 2013 and 2015, she served as Vice President of Development in the Exploration and Production Department, where her focus was managing ADNOC's onshore oil and gas portfolio, including conventional and unconventional resources.

Ms. Taiba Al Hashemi also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ADNOC Sour Gas, Chair of the Audit Committee of ADNOC Sour Gas, a member of several ADNOC Group committees (such as the ADNOC Gender Balance Committee), and a member of the Society of International Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Mrs. Taiba Al Hashemi obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the United Arab Emirates University, and is considered one of the 100 most powerful businesswomen in the Middle East for the year 2023 .
