After his appearance with Jana Diab, Mishaal Tamer releases his first album

After the success of the song "Baba Fein", and its topping the global trend, which includes a clip taken from the famous Egyptian song "Baba Fein" by "Free Baby" last September.

Rising Saudi artist Mishaal Tamer is preparing to release his first album, “Home Is Changing,” which includes 33 songs, each different from the other.

The songs are divided into five chapters, each representing a different theme: “THE DEEP, THE HEART, THE HEARTBREAK, THE DREAM, and THE RETURN,” and are presented in the form of a video clip, as they were filmed in Taif.

Mishaal Tamer has recently topped the trend, after a striking appearance with Jana Amr Diab at the "BRIT" ceremony, which is called the British version of the "Grammy" Awards ceremony. Mishaal reused the famous Egyptian song "Baba Fein" and attracted attention with it, as it achieved great success when it was first released in 2002.

Details of Mishaal Tamer's new album The new album HOME IS CHANGING opens with “ATARAXIA,” a song that combines piano with a hip-hop-inspired beat, and among the new songs, the album also includes the recently released singles “KEEP IT UP,” “ITTY BITTY,” and “BABA FEIN.”

“Since the album is titled ‘Homeland Changes’, I thought the artwork should be filmed in Saudi Arabia, where people think the Kingdom is just oil and desert, but it’s not, and I wanted to show that with this album, which is why the artwork features a river, meadows and greenery in general, and there’s also my dog (Gandalf) also known as (Boo Boo) who helped me a lot and was there during the launch of this album, and the most important part of the artwork is the greenery, which is to give people a new look at what Saudi Arabia is, we are much more than the misconceptions, and more than what appears in the news,” said Mishaal Tamer about the new album.

“A big part of this project is highlighting change, and a big part of that is changing people’s perceptions of what Saudi Arabia is, that we can host the Winter Olympics, we can have amazing music festivals and amazing resorts, I’m proud, very proud. I’m proud to show my country as it is, not as people think it is. My job as a Saudi is to show us since we opened our doors to the world, to say ‘Hello, this is us,’ we have these rivers and these fields; it’s a statement that we are more than you think.”

Information about Mishaal Tamr Tamer is the first young artist from his country to make a mark in the global music industry, when in 2020 he became the first Saudi artist to sign with a major record label. Mishaal sings in Spanish, English and Arabic, and the event was the first ever full Saudi concert, supported by Saudi musicians Fulana and Tamtam.

Since 2023, Mashal has supported Grammy-nominated band OneRepublic on various shows in the Middle East, Asia and Europe, most recently performing in Mexico City. Mashal will return to Europe at the end of November for a headlining tour that includes shows in Berlin, Paris and Cologne.

Earlier this year, Mishaal released the song “WINNER WINNER” as part of the soundtrack for the mobile game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Mishaal has dabbled in the gaming world several times, having also released “Mirage” with OneRepublic for the Assassin’s Creed series and created the soundtrack for GAMERS8, the world’s largest gaming festival, in 2023.
