Al-Iskandarani's film, between a movie change and a song crisis

Director Khaled Youssef was forced to change the soundtrack of the film Al-Iskandarani in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and instead of starring Ahmed Al-Awadi, the latter was replaced by the artist Bayoumi Fouad, in an attempt by the film makers to flirt with theaters there, since Bayoumi Fouad is the most popular audience in Saudi Arabia.

I have been the singer and composer for 10 years - the idea and the words are intertwined with the text... This song is one of the most important songs I have ever made... I sang it in meetings.” I don't know who I should talk to or how I have the right to take it.. The song is mine and I listened to it from members of the stolen work and it ended again and was released as propaganda for the film.”

He added: “My song is written by Muhammad Ibrahim, lyrically and melodically, and arranged by Muhammad Sami 2014.”

On the other hand, composer Issam Karika said: “Praise be to God, my name and my career are well known, and what Mahmoud is promoting. The problem is basically between him and the poet, but since I, director Khaled Youssef, and the biggest and most famous names deliberately included our names, because if he didn’t do that, the news would spread.” So normal".

Meanwhile, director Khaled Youssef recently released on YouTube the song “Me and My Son” presented by popular singer Abdel Baset Hamouda in the movie “Al-Iskandarani”. It is written by the great poet Jamal Bakhit, composed by Sherif Hamdan and arranged by Taha Al-Hakim.

Khaled Youssef continued: “I always hoped to produce one of the works of Osama Anwar Okasha, but I was not lucky because I am not from his generation. However, this story fell into my hands, and when I read it, I felt that I was presenting a contemporary vision of what is currently happening, in connection with everything that happened in Egypt in the last fifty years.

He travels to Italy and joins the mafia there, and returns with a great fortune to completely destroy the life of his father and all those close to him, but he is punished with death at the hands of the people closest to him.
