Al-Shami: The TikTok generation is the masters of the world

A new message was shared by the Syrian artist Al-Shami , on his personal account on Instagram, in which he talked about the young generation and their role in interacting with major issues.

Al-Shami indicated in a story he shared on Instagram that young people have become active in helping their communities, and he titled his message with the phrase: The TikTok generation is the masters of the world.

Al-Shami wrote: “They cut us off internally, and because of our intense feeling of weakness, we started blaming those who had nothing to do with it. The TikTok generation became the only real influencer of international public opinion, and the artists became the ones responsible for publishing and analyzing, and if they did not publish, we would hold them accountable.”

Tik Tokers are taking the place of international organizations Al-Shami added: “Tik Tokers have taken the place of international organizations in terms of aid, and everyone who has a number of followers can go out and collect donations and help people. We stopped asking why ‘such-and-such organization’ did not speak up, and we started asking why such-and-such artist did not show solidarity.”

Al-Shami continued, asking: “Do you know what this means? You made people responsible for your weakness, and took on roles that were not theirs, so that we can be sure that we are a generation that holds its head high, and is more responsible than this entire unjust planet.” He concluded his message with the hashtag “Long live the Levant and its great people.”
