Announcing the date of the 12th edition of the Algiers International Film Festival

The management of the Algiers International Film Festival announced in a statement the date of the festival's twelfth session.

Date of the International Film Festival in Algeria The festival management announced that the festival activities will start on November 24 and continue until November 30.

It was also announced that the registration process for films wishing to participate in the festival will begin from July 27 to August 27 via the festival’s official website.

The Algiers International Film Festival aims to attract distinguished films to provide a unique cinematic experience that enhances cultural diversity.

According to Mr. Hatem Mehdi Ben Issa, Governor of the Algiers International Film Festival, Algeria is keen to support the Palestinian people, and based on its firm commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people in their legitimate and steadfast struggle against Zionist barbarism, the festival will include a number of special events to honor prominent films, institutions and individuals in Palestinian cinema. He explained that cinema is a powerful tool for telling human stories, enhancing communication between peoples, and expressing resistance to all forms of violence and colonial barbarism.

In its twelfth edition, the festival continues to create opportunities to develop and enrich the national and international film industry, and to contribute to celebrating the diversity of cinematic visions.

Shrouk participates in the Algiers International Film Festival The conditions for participating in this year’s festival competition are as follows: nominated films must have been produced within the 24 months prior to the festival, and not published online; feature films must be no less than 70 minutes long and short films no less than 40 minutes long; all films must be presented in their original language with Arabic, French or English subtitles .
