Syrian star Assala Nasri has begun the countdown to the release of her new album, "The Tax of Distance," a title chosen by her fans through an official vote.

Assala appeared in a promotional video released by Rotana Audio, thanking her fans, saying, "Based on your votes, you chose me instead of me, and I'm relieved. I hope you're happy." Rotana commented on the video, saying: “You chose and Assala said it was done… Stay tuned for the details. What’s coming is different with the icon of the East.”

Remarkable artistic collaborations in the album “The Tax of Distance”

The highly anticipated album features diverse and distinctive collaborations, most notably with Egyptian artist Tamer Ashour, who presents a song titled "Kalam Fargh," composed by him and written by poet Mona El-Qei. Assala also collaborates for the first time with music distributor Hisham El-Banna on two songs: "Ana Hansak" and "Ma Wahashtaksh," with composers Mohamed Abdel Majeed and Amr El-Shazly also participating.

The album features a group of prominent poets and composers, including Mustafa Hadouta on the song "Andi Ektifaa" and Islam El Gerini on the song "El Enab El Saqe'a," composed and arranged by Jaber Gamal. Menna El Kaei continues her strong collaboration with Assala through three songs: "Kalam Fargh," "Housa Eh Di," and "Haba Habba."
