Basem Yakhour and Salloum Haddad: Exaggerating the Levantine dialect is a big trap..and we avoided it in "Al-Arbaji"

The two Syrian artists, Salloum Haddad and Basem Yakhour, explained that the series "Al-Arbaji" is a new and completely different experience from the prevailing Levantine drama.

And "Yakhour" confirmed in the video interview published by the production company "Golden Line" on its channel on "YouTube", that "Al-Arabji", which is scheduled to be shown next Ramadan, is a rebellion against the traditional pattern of works of the Levantine environment that has been going on for many years.

He continued his speech that the announcement of the series, which came a year ago, was an inspiration for the makers to also deviate from the prevailing pattern in the series that talk about the Levantine environment, hoping that the vision in this work had actually encouraged others to create a different genre.

For his part, the artist Salloum Haddad indicated that the production agency pumped huge sums of money, to use huge capabilities commensurate with the quality of the written work, mixing about that on the production side, "We made them cry."

Regarding the Levantine dialect and criticizing Bassem Yakhour for exaggerating its use in works that express the Levantine environment, stressing that it is a "trap" that weakens the work, and one of its reasons may be belonging to a neighborhood or a place, noting, "I am also against exaggerating the dialect, a lot of Levantine works He went towards her, and part of the responsibility for this error falls on the actor himself speaking in this way far from reality, while the other part falls on the director, so even if we go back to the ancient Damascene generations, we notice that they do not speak with all this tide at the end of the speech.

Haddad stressed that the secret of the success of any work lies in the fact that the audience feels that the actor is close to him in terms of behavior and tone, so he is "realistic" without exaggeration.

The duo noted that "Al-Arabji" deviated from the exaggerated dialect line, and also deliberately not to be subject to a specific temporal or spatial condition.
