Beyonce in American university curricula

Yale University has announced that a course on the musical history of superstar Beyoncé will become one of the academic subjects taught at the university.

Beyonce makes history Beginning next spring, the university will host a new class titled “Beyoncé Makes History: Black Radical Traditions, Culture, Theory and Politics Through Music.”

The course will focus on the period from her eponymous album, Beyoncé, in 2013, through to her 2024 album, Cowboy Carter.

The aim of the chapter is to use Beyoncé's work as a lens to examine black intellectual thought and activism and explore how the artist uses music as a tool to raise awareness and engage with social and political ideologies.

Beyoncé is the most influential person in music history. Beyoncé joins a list of stars who have had courses dedicated to them, including Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.

She is considered one of the most influential artists in the history of music, and has received numerous awards and nominations, including Grammy Award nominations.

Her latest album, "Cowboy Carter," received 11 nominations for the award, making her the most nominated artist ever, with a total of 99 nominations.
