Carla Chamoun: A Lebanese Evening at Casino du Liban

After a successful concert tour in Europe, artist Carla Chamoun returns to Lebanon to perform a special concert on the stage of Casino du Liban on February 22nd.

Back home and meeting the Lebanese audience

This concert is a meeting between Carla and her Lebanese audience who miss her voice and songs. She said in her interview with the Asharq Al-Awsat website: “I am very excited to meet the Lebanese audience in this concert, and during it I will sing my own songs, including (Khat Al-Raj’a) and (Ya Reet) and others.”

A mix of special songs and timeless songs.

During the concert, Carla will perform a variety of songs, including her own hits, in addition to timeless songs by Lebanese and Arab artists, such as the song “Ya Ashiqat Al Ward” by the late Zaki Nassif, the Moroccan song “Abdul Qader”, and a selection of Fairuz’s songs.

"Parking" Fairuz and spontaneous success

Carla touched on the video clip that spread widely on social media, in which she sings for Fairuz in a parking lot, and indicated that the idea was spontaneous and she did not expect this great success. She stressed her love for Fairuz and her songs, and that she will perform a group of her songs during the Casino du Liban concert, and said: “I was surprised by the popularity of this video. The subject was born spontaneously when I was in the parking lot of the company where I record songs, and the artist usually likes to sing in a place filled with echoes. The idea was a huge success and the video was circulated by millions on social media.”

Party details and preparations

Carla revealed some details related to the concert, and indicated that she is preparing to present a special and different show, and talked about the preparations she makes before any concert, which include vocal exercises and attention to nutrition and psychological state.

Surprises and future projects

Carla promised the audience some surprises during the concert, and indicated that she will present new works for the first time on stage, and she also talked about her future projects, including recording a new song with the writer and composer Nabil Khoury, and another collaboration with him on several new songs.
