Carmen Tokmajy releases "Rain in Damascus"...and here are the album details

Syrian artist Carmen Tokmajy released the music video for her new song, "Rain in Damascus," which is one of the songs from her latest album, "Without Peace," which was released on April 4th and includes six musical pieces.

Winter clip in the streets of Damascus “Rain in Damascus” was filmed in the streets and alleys of Damascus, with Carmen appearing in a wintery look, wearing thick coats in soft colors like white and pink. The atmosphere of Damascus was evident in the details of the song, which included many of the places that distinguish the Syrian capital.

Song lyrics and details The song goes: Find me in one place, the same place... In the neighborhood, next to the old cart... And don't forget to wear four layers in winter... I know it's more than five sizes too big for me... But when it covers me, I feel the tenderness of the rain in Damascus.

The song was written and composed by Carmen Tokmegy, distributed by Narij Obejan, while Hazem Jabbour was in charge of mixing. The instruments were played by: Mohammed Namiq (cello), Bernard Tokmegy (guitar), and Carmen Tokmegy (piano).

The video and photography were directed by Amr Laqmoush, while Yara Abu Shakra supervised the artistic direction, and Guyan Carlo Abakan handled the video's colorization and color correction.

An album full of intense emotions The album "Without Peace" consists of six short songs, the total duration of which does not exceed 30 minutes. They are: "Mashi", "Bala Salam", "Al-Matar Bel-Sham", "Manlaf Ndour", "Ana Insan", and "Fi Nas".

Who is Carmen Tokmegy? Carmen was born in Damascus on December 11, 1991. She grew up and studied in the Damascus area. She was one of the top students in high school and studied pharmacy at the University of Damascus.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, Department of Classical Singing, in 2017, with an excellent grade of 85.5%.
