"Continuity of Generations"... "Qandeel" creates unique paintings with his brush

The Egyptian plastic artist, Dr. Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, was creative during the “Generations Communication” exhibition, which brings him together with his late professor, the artist Hussein El-Gebali, who is considered one of the most prominent plastic artists in Egypt, and held the position of the Syndicate of Plastic Artists for a long time. The exhibition continues until October 30, and opens its doors daily from 10 am to 9 pm, except for Friday.

Sayed Qandeel is creative with his art The exhibition, which is being held in the Horizon Hall of the Mahmoud Khalil and his wife Museum in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, includes more than 80 paintings, combining the paintings of “Al-Gabali”, who documented in his paintings glimpses of Egypt’s heritage, as well as the contemporary ideas of “Qandeel”, who creates with his brush the most beautiful creative paintings.

“Continuity of Generations” is a title that Dr. Qandil explained, saying: “We are trying to make our children think of our master, and I consider myself a student in the school of Sheikh Al-Haffarin and the late artist Hussein Al-Gebali, who is one of the most important figures in this art in Egypt. The idea of the exhibition was to combine old works by the late artist with my contemporary works. Our main goal is to enrich the art movement in Egypt, and to highlight diverse artistic cultural content that reflects different generations of art teachers, and also to enrich the ideas of art students and lovers with different ideas about highlighting heritage, employing colors, and raising awareness in this field of art and its effects.”

The exhibition, which primarily presents a unique artistic vision that combines experience and innovation, includes paintings by El-Gebali that are being displayed for the first time, produced between 2000 and 2003 before his death. Qandil confirmed that El-Gebali, who died in 2014, wove together the different Egyptian civilizations in his paintings in a very special and important way.
