Curse poverty and war.. Talal Mardini's comment on what is happening in Syria

Syrian artist Talal Mardini expressed his dissatisfaction with some of the actions currently taking place in Syria.

Talal Mardini: The great Syrian people

Talal wrote on his personal Instagram page: “The great Syrian people, Syria, who came to the country after being in Europe and started making videos mocking the children of their simple country who are tired from years of war and who are happy with something they see as backwardness.”

He added: “I agree with you that this is not a civilized scene and the situation should not remain like this. I am confident that within weeks, if not days, this will change and a law will be issued stating that anyone who wants to go out with their family should go to public parks. But we should also reduce hurting each other and reducing the joy of these people and show the world in the video that sitting on green grass is beautiful and can make an entire family happy and get them out of the lack of electricity in their homes and out of the slums.”

He concluded by saying: “Let us be positive and address the problems with respect (because these are the great Syrian people), but God damn war and poverty.”

"Rose" tops the charts in Ramadan

On the other hand, the series "Rose" topped the list of police dramas shown during the past Ramadan season, with its diverse artistic output ranging from social dramas to comedies, fantasy dramas, and Levantine dramas.

The series consisted of only ten episodes, featuring scenes of mystery, suspense, action, and excitement. It was shown on the Viu platform after being postponed for four years, with filming concluding in 2021.

The series revolves around the conflicts of mafia gangs involved in drug trafficking, and the pursuit of these gangs by security forces, coupled with stories of love, betrayal, parental relationships, and friendship.

The story of the series

The story begins with the murder of Rose's father (Bassem Yakhour) at the hands of a drug gang, due to his association with them. Rose (Yara Qassem) flees from this gang that is pursuing her, and falls into the hands of the security forces. She meets an officer named Firas (Talal Mardini), who gets close to her, and a love affair develops between them, only to discover in the end that he is exploiting her to reach the gang.
