Days after the start, the series “Al-Qaisar” was stopped, according to a statement by the company producing the work.

Statement from the production company The statement read: “In order to ensure transparency and out of respect for the great Syrian people and the responsible authorities, the production company of the “Caesar” series apologizes to the Syrian people for any confusion or misunderstanding that accompanied the announcement of the work. We confirm that the series does not carry any political connotations or connections to the Caesar events related to the tragedies of the Syrian people, but rather it is a purely social drama that tells human stories far from any political or controversial documentation.”

The work is an attempt to present an image of society. The company continued, "Based on our keenness to meet the aspirations of the people and respect their opinion, the name of the series will be modified and the cast will be reconsidered, to ensure the presentation of an artistic work that reflects the true image of Syrian drama in a manner befitting its high status and reputation in the world.

She added: "The work team is proud that the series is a Syrian production par excellence, including an elite group of Syrian drama stars from different generations, and reflects the spirit of artistic openness that it carries, in an attempt to present a comprehensive picture of Syrian society.

The statement added that the series, which is considered one of the largest Syrian productions this year, is directed by Safwan Nemou, produced by Bower Production, and written by Najib Naseer and Adnan Awda. It is presented in the form of ten trilogies within thirty episodes, to combine dramatic excitement and narrative diversity in a new and distinctive experience on the artistic scene.

We assure the wonderful Syrian audience that the work has passed all the censorship procedures in the Syrian Ministry of Information.

Work modifications The statement concluded: "In compliance with the wishes of our wonderful audience and the directives of the National Drama Committee, the necessary amendments will be made. We are hopeful that our audience will be aware and not be led by rumors that may harm the work before it is officially shown."
