Egyptian artist Fikry Sadek passed away this morning, Friday, after a struggle with illness, at the age of 80. His son, Egyptian actor Murad Fikry Sadek, announced the news of his death through his personal account on the social networking site Facebook, writing: “My father, the artist Fikry Sadek, has passed away. The funeral will be after the afternoon prayer at Sayyida Nafisa Mosque. To God we belong and to Him we shall return.”

Artist Mounir Makram also announced the news of the death as a member of the Actors Syndicate Council.
