Dhafer Al-Abidin: I presented works that I was not satisfied with and I did not feel a “mid-life crisis.”

The artist Dhafer El Abidine revealed that he went through what is known as a “mid-life crisis,” and in his early years he accepted artistic roles that he was not satisfied with for financial reasons.

Dhafer Al-Abidin said in his interview with the “Last Word” program: I went through crises in my life, and I believe that this is normal. We must accept that life is not all success, joy, and satisfaction.

Dhafer El Abidine: I presented work that I was not satisfied with In response to the question: Did you perform roles for financial reasons?

Dhafer Al-Abidin replied : It is normal and I certainly accepted such works in my career. I am a person with special needs and circumstances. Every artist often presents works that he is not completely satisfied with in his beginnings.

Dhafer El Abidine spoke about the importance of passion in his life, and his feeling that he was doing something new and different, saying: The most important thing to me is passion, and for there to be something new.

He gave an example of what he did in search of passion and renewal, saying: At the beginning of my life, I worked in an English series and participated in 64 episodes, and although it is an opportunity that many dream of, and any artist wishes to participate in even one episode, I went to the producer and told him that I did not want to be renewed.

Dhafer El Abidine in case of failure Dhafer Al-Abidin added : “I learned not to expect anything, but what I believe in and do carefully is that every scene, every sentence, and every moment must be in the best position, but the question: Is the work a success or a failure? Did the audience like it or not? It is outside my calculations.”

Dhafer continued, "Failure in itself is not important. What is important is that I made the necessary effort and did not fall short. I went through a stage of failure for years before entering the field of acting, but failure distinguished me in learning, improving, and getting out of the comfort zone."

Dhafer Al-Abidin concluded his statements: I tasted failure in my life when I dreamed of becoming a great and professional football player abroad, but I did not succeed in this.
