Director of the Grand Egyptian Museum opening ceremony responds to criticism: A professional team

Director Hani Mehanna, director of the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, expressed his great pride in participating in this huge event, stressing that the ceremony represents a unique historical moment not only for Egypt, but for the whole world.

Hani Mehanna posted on his official Facebook account: “Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. I am extremely proud to have been the television director for the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, a unique event and a historic day not only for our country, but for all countries of the world.”

He explained: “I am truly proud of every individual who contributed to this huge and honorable celebration. As for the television production and broadcasting team for the event, it is a great team, professional, organized and supervised at all levels, and always up to the task. This is consistent and clear in all the work that this team has accomplished during the years, months and weeks preceding the celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum.”

Mohanna added: “We are extremely proud, as a team, of what we presented at the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, just as proud as we were of what we presented, with other professors, at the ceremony of transferring the royal mummies procession, and what we presented at the opening ceremony of the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Cairo Peace Summit, the G8 Summit, the graduation ceremonies of the 117th and 118th classes of the Egyptian Military Academy, the special celebration of the golden jubilee of the glorious October War, the opening of the cities of Aswan, Mansoura, Sohag and New Minya, the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum, the Egypt International Aviation Exhibition, the opening of the World Military Equestrian Championship, the concerts of the El Alamein Festival for stars of the stature of Angham, Assala, Tamer Ashour and Amal Maher, the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit, the Nation of Peace celebration, and many, many more important national and patriotic events.”
