Dubai Police launches 2025 summer courses for youth on June 30.

The Dubai Police General Command announced the launch of the 2025 Student Summer Program, which will begin on June 30 and continue until July 31. The program is held under the patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and is themed "Our Summer: Security and Happiness... Innovation and Leadership."

The program is organized by the General Department of Drug Control, represented by the International Protection Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, and a number of external entities, public administrations, and police stations. It is attended by a wide range of students of various nationalities and ages.

National partnership and integrated logistical support His Excellency Engineer Tariq Al Hashimi praised the fruitful partnership between the Ministry of Education and Dubai Police, saying:

"The summer courses for students represent a national model that contributes to developing their skills and instilling Emirati values in them. The Ministry is committed to providing logistical support by distributing training centers across Dubai, in addition to providing 45 buses for transportation to ensure students' easy access to the training centers."

The goal is to make the most of students' time, deepen their sense of national belonging and respect for laws and regulations, instill values of loyalty to the wise leadership, and prepare a generation of young people with a high degree of awareness and culture of the importance of problems and risks and how to deal with them professionally and responsibly.

Building character through a scientific methodology In his speech, Brigadier General Khalid bin Muwaiza said:

"The process of building a student's character requires the combined efforts of all institutions, based on scientific foundations capable of creating a new generation of students who will carry the banner of leadership in all governmental and private institutions, while applying a scientific methodology in summer programs that instills many noble concepts and values in the students' souls."

Summer course sections: specialized and general The 2025 summer courses organized by Dubai Police for youth are divided into two main sections:

Specialized courses Includes cybersecurity, cybercrime, leadership, first aid, military training, police dogs, and horse care.

Public courses Focuses on life skills, traffic awareness, sports activities, teamwork, and anti-drug and anti-negative behavior awareness programs.

The courses are held in 16 training centers, including public and private schools and specialized police stations such as the Mounted Police Station, the General Department of Investigations, the 901 Call Center, the K9 Security Inspection Department, the General Department of Security of Bodies, Facilities and Emergencies, and the General Department of Transport and Rescue.

Various programs and activities Brigadier General Khalid bin Muwaiza explained that this year's activities include 13 training programs, including:

Promising Detective Course. Diving. Swimming. Military training. Sports training. Future officer. Unified Call Center 901. Police dog course. Bicycles. Horse care course. K9 Care and Fostering Program. Awareness lectures. Field visits. Tangible impact on reducing crime Brigadier General Dr. Abdulrahman Sharaf Mohammed confirmed that the International Protection Center has implemented 505 awareness programs over the past three years, benefiting 375,741 male and female students from 175 nationalities, reflecting the programs' success in preventing crime and negative behavior.

Summer Courses Results 2024 Brigadier General Abdulrahman Sharaf Mohammed reviewed the results of the 2024 summer courses, which saw the participation of 1,136 students from 31 nationalities (633 males and 503 females), from 52 public schools and 29 private schools representing 58 residential areas in Dubai. The participants included 816 citizens and 320 expatriates. The programs were implemented in 21 training centers.

The number of partners reached 40 government and semi-government entities, as well as Dubai Police general departments and police stations.
