Emilia Dobreva.. The first representative of the Emirates in Miss Universe

For the first time in its history, the United Arab Emirates is participating in the Miss Universe pageant, represented by Emilia Dobreva, who seeks to raise the UAE flag high in this global competition.

Emilia Dobreva: The first representative of the Emirates in the Miss Universe pageant Although originally from Kosovo and Serbia, Emilia grew up in Dubai, where she built her life and became part of its community. Emilia leads a challenging and experimental life, as she is married with three children, and through her participation she aspires to show the diverse and modern face of the Emirates, and its role in supporting women’s empowerment and global engagement.

Changes to Miss Universe Pageant Open New Opportunities Emilia's participation reflects the new changes to the Miss Universe competition rules, as the organizing committee has allowed married women and mothers to participate and has raised the maximum age of participants, opening up broader horizons for women from different backgrounds and life experiences.

With Emilia joining, the UAE becomes the fourth Arab country to participate in this year’s competition, alongside representatives from Lebanon, Egypt and Bahrain.
