Family disputes lead to the death of Iraqi artist Baraq Al-Mahna

Iraqi newspapers reported shocking news for fans of the Iraqi artist, Baraq Al-Mahna, who was killed in an armed attack, and his name topped search engines.

Iraqi artist Baraq Al-Mahna killed in tragic accident According to Iraqi media reports, an Iraqi security source said that security forces went to the scene after receiving a report of the shooting and found the victim, “Baraq Al-Mahna,” inside his car. Reports indicated that the cause of death was that he was shot several times by an armed person riding a motorcycle in the Al-Zafaraniya neighborhood, south of Baghdad, where he died instantly.

According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator is the artist's wife's brother, who opened fire with a Kalashnikov rifle following family disputes.

Initial investigations led to identifying the people who incited the murder, namely the wife of the late artist, Baraq Al-Mahna, and her father. They were arrested and detained at the Al-Jihad neighborhood police station, awaiting the results of the investigation.

In an interview with a local Iraqi newspaper, the late artist’s brother described the incident, saying: “Baraq went to visit his children, but a quarrel broke out between him and his wife’s brothers, which led to his teeth being broken. When he left the house, he was ambushed by one of his wife’s brothers, who shot him in the heart, killing him.” That’s how Baraq died, leaving in the hearts of his family and fans regret and sadness over his youth.
