First air taxi stations to be implemented in Dubai before the end of 2024

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the first "air taxi" station will be built before the end of the year, and that it will be officially operational during the first quarter of 2026.

The air taxi manufacturer, Joby, explained that the project contributes to advancing the future of aviation to keep pace with the global trend towards reducing emissions and faster access to destinations in a better way.

Air taxi stages The first phase of the service will include four strategic landing sites in Dubai: Dubai International Airport, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.

Taxi features The innovative taxi design includes different facilities such as areas, and the taxi can accommodate four passengers in addition to its driver. It is characterized by high safety and security specifications, through a design that contains 6 propellers and 4 battery packs, giving it the ability to fly a distance of 161 kilometers, and at a speed of up to 321 kilometers per hour.

Air taxis have a low noise level compared to helicopters.
