Ghanem Butti Al Mazrouei.. Strategies to achieve national excellence

Ghanem Butti Al Mazrouei is one of the prominent figures in the United Arab Emirates, as he was appointed as Director of the Office of the President of the State for Strategic Affairs in the Presidential Court. Distinguished educational and professional background Ghanem Al Mazrouei obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Suffolk University in Boston, USA, in 1998. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from Boston University in the United States in 2000. This strong academic background helped him build a successful career in various fields, including management, engineering, and economics.

Prior to his current appointment, Al Mazrouei held several important positions, including Secretary General of the UAE National Competitiveness Council (NAFES), a program that aims to prepare and qualify national talent to work in the private sector. Through this role, Al Mazrouei contributed to enhancing the UAE’s economic competitiveness and developing national talent to be able to compete in the global market. He will continue his work in this position in addition to his new position.

He also held the position of Director of Finance at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Senior Vice President of Support Services at Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Qualifications Authority, Abu Dhabi Securities Market, Dubai Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund, and Arabtec Holding Company since 2016. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of ADNOC Schools, in addition to many important positions through which he worked on distinguished projects through which he sought to support and develop economic and social development in the United Arab Emirates.

Office of the President for Strategic Affairs On September 11, 2024, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, issued a federal decree appointing Ghanem Al Mazrouei as Director of the Office of the President of the State for Strategic Affairs at the Presidential Court, with the rank of Undersecretary. This new office aims to provide strategic support to the President of the State, and ensure the efficient and effective implementation of national policies and initiatives.

He has also contributed to launching initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups, which enhances the business environment in the country.
