He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University in 1963, and began his judicial career that spanned decades. </p><figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:323/242;" src="https://mediaaws.almasryalyoum.com/news/medium/2010/12/14/228/_trk2464.jpg" alt="Counselor Mahmoud Al-Khudairi in his home in Alexandria after his release" ></figure><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Khadiri began his career in the Public Prosecution, where he was appointed immediately after his graduation, and rose through the judicial ranks until he reached the position of Vice President of the Court of Cassation, which is the highest judicial position in Egypt after the President of the Court.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Khudairi was known for his integrity and independence, and was one of the most prominent defenders of judicial independence in Egypt, as he joined the Judicial Independence Movement that sought to enhance transparency and integrity in the Egyptian judicial system.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Khudayri’s career was not limited to judicial work only, but also extended to the political field, where he was elected as a member of the People’s Assembly in the elections held at the end of 2011, for one of the Alexandria districts, and assumed the presidency of the Legislative Committee until the Supreme Constitutional Court issued a ruling to dissolve the Assembly in June 2012.
