Henedy celebrates Ahmed El Gendy's gold medal win at Paris Olympics

Artist Mohamed Henedy was keen to congratulate player Ahmed El Gendy on winning the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Henedy posted a photo of the champion Ahmed El Gendy the moment he won the medal and wrote to talk about his achievements.

Mohamed Henedy said: "The son of Egypt... achieves a new Olympic record and the next day he wins the gold medal."

The Egyptian delegation is the largest in the history of the Olympic Games, as it includes 164 athletes, 148 of whom are regulars and 16 are substitutes, competing in 22 sports, making the Pharaonic delegation the largest in the history of the Arabs and Africa.

The most important information about Ahmed El Gendy, the gold medalist El Gendy first competed in the Republic Modern Pentathlon Championship at the age of eight, and after finishing third in the local championship in March 2008, El Gendy continued to compete in the Republic Modern Pentathlon Championship until 2017.

In 2018, El-Gendy won a gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a gold medal at the World Youth Championships, and a gold medal at the World Junior Championships with the first ever triple-double at the world level.

He was selected by the International Pentathlon Federation (IPF) as the best young athlete twice in a row, and his name was included in the Egyptian National Honor Roll in 2019. Ahmed El Gendy also won the silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, making him the first African to win an Olympic medal in the modern pentathlon.
