The star Hussein Fahmy revealed the details of the challenges he faced while preparing for the 45th session of the Cairo International Film Festival, which coincided with his brother, the artist Mustafa Fahmy, suffering from a severe health problem that led to his death.

The situation was very stressful, and I was balancing between my family obligations and the festival’s work.”

He confirmed that he spent difficult nights between preparing for the festival and attending the funeral ceremonies.

I felt a great responsibility towards my country, and it was necessary for the festival to appear in the best possible image.”

He added that he treated the Cairo Film Festival as a priority and was keen to ensure that the work was done with the highest possible quality, noting that the commitment was part of his respect for Egyptian culture and art.

At the end of his speech, Hussein Fahmy sent a message to the artists, saying: “The actor should not be satisfied with memorizing the dialogue only, but he should enrich his knowledge of all aspects of the artistic industry, whether it is lighting, decor, or photography.”

He pointed out that the true success of an actor lies in his mastery of all the arts of the industry, which reflects his deep understanding of his artistic role.
