Syrian actor Basil Khayyat revealed many aspects of his personal life and his relationship with his wife, Nahid Zidane, since its beginning.

Khayyat said during his hosting of the “Big Time” program, presented by the journalist Amr Adeeb and the artist Asala Nasri, that the beginning of his relationship with his wife Nahid was difficult for her because of the female admirers, commenting: I am not handsome, I may have charisma... and I do not know why girls like me, perhaps because Charisma or they love my work.. and the topic was tiring for my wife when we first got married, and there were always tears on the pillow.. but I got used to it.

Khayyat added that he admired his wife from the first moment he saw her, as he was not thinking about marriage at the time, but when he saw her, he told her that she would be his wife, which was true.

Basil Khayyat pointed out that he is not romantic with his wife, nor does he like romance in general, saying: I memorize poetry a lot and in my conversations with her I like to address the mind, not the heart, because I love the image in the verse.

The Syrian artist touched on his life away from work, saying that he spends his time with his family at home, and when he sits for a long time with his children, it causes them a kind of pressure. He pointed out that his wife, Nahid, is proficient in preparing food.

He recalled his childhood, saying that he grew up in one of the neighborhoods of Damascus. At that time, his family relationship was unstable, which affected him, as he was a “follower” in everything, a witness to what was going on around him and he learned a lot from it, and he saw his life as similar to novels.

Khayyat explained the story of the “tattoo” drawn on his arm, saying that it is Da Vinci’s drawing that expresses the golden ratio, as he means his pursuit of the best possible way to benefit from the percentage of perfection that exists in our lives.
