Lebanese star Elissa said that she is not against a man marrying a second wife, but she does not accept it, saying: “I am for a man marrying a second wife, but he should not leave her. However, my environment and culture do not allow for a man to have a second wife. I do not accept it.”

During her interview on the program "Beit El Saad", presented by artist Amr Saad and his brother, artist Ahmed Saad, Elissa revealed that she refused to be in a relationship with a Muslim man after she discovered that he was married, saying: "I had previously entered into a love relationship with a Muslim man and I found out halfway through the relationship that he was married. And like all men, he told me that we have problems and we are going to divorce, but I did not agree to be with another woman."

Ahmed Saad commented on Elissa's words, objecting to some people describing him as a polygamist due to his many marriages, saying: "They say I'm a polygamist because I've been married four times, but in my life I've never been able to marry two or love two people at the same time."

Elissa added, regarding the idea of cohabitation, that she is not against the idea, but she has never done it before, continuing: "I am not against it and I see it as normal, but I have never done it before.. but it is a solution for couples to avoid divorce later. The society around us rejects it, but I am not against it."

Amr Saad disagreed with her, confirming his absolute rejection of the idea, saying: “I am completely against this matter. For me to bring a girl to live with a 16-year-old boy is disrespectful.” He concluded: “The ones who are hurt the most by these things are the girls. Even in Europe, girls are humiliated because of this relationship.”
