Yemeni artist Arwa revealed that she was subjected to harassment as a young child while she was living with her family in Kuwait.

Arwa said during her interview on the program “The Book of Fame” presented by Ali Yassin on the “Al-Jadeed” channel: “I was a 7-year-old child who was molested. I was in Kuwait at the time, and he was of an Arab nationality, not a Gulf one. My mother was standing with her friend and neighbor, and her husband.” Our neighbor is the one who harassed me.”

Arwa continued her story: “When I told my mother, she did not believe me, and I did not dare to tell my father. My mother did not imagine that this would happen or that this person would do anything to me, and she convinced me that I was wrong, and for a while I thought that the mistake was mine.”

Arwa continued : “I am telling this story so that others can benefit. Parents must believe the children, even if they lie, until we are sure of the matter.”

Arwa and wear the hijab During the episode, Arwa touched on the period during which she wore the hijab and said: “ I wore the hijab from childhood until high school, and I gave it up when I joined university. No one forced me to do so.”

Arwa continued: “I was studying in the College of Engineering and there was a lot of work due to my graduation project. I would come home late and sleep in my clothes. I did not have time to take care of myself, and a veiled girl should take good care of her appearance.”
