Jordanian artist Hussam Al-Silawi announced his engagement in an innovative way on his official account on the TikTok platform, as he shared photos carrying emotional messages, amid the painful events taking place in Lebanon.

Al-Silawi posted two consecutive photos, the first of which contained a touching phrase: “Why didn’t you agree to leave Lebanon during the war?”, which aroused the curiosity of his followers about the reason for his remaining in Lebanon despite the difficult circumstances, and the answer came in the second photo, which showed his hand holding hers, with the comment: “But if you love a southern woman, you will understand,” in a romantic reference to his relationship with a young woman from southern Lebanon.

Al-Silawi has always refused to make any statements about his emotional life, despite the many rumors that have been circulating about his romantic relationships over the past years. He preferred to remain silent, without confirming or denying any of these rumors. However, for the first time, he himself announced his relationship clearly, without revealing any details about the young woman except that she is from southern Lebanon.
