Al-Saqa indicated that the family argument suddenly escalated due to his ex-wife's driver's intervention with what he described as "inappropriate" language, which led to an escalation of tension in the situation. He stressed that he did not physically assault anyone, but rather his reaction was motivated by concern for his children. He added that the driver exaggerated in describing what had happened and claimed he had been beaten.

The Driver's Story: A Sudden Roadblock and Assault

The driver, however, gave a different account, stating in his report that Sakka's car suddenly cut him off last Thursday, and that Sakka then got out of the car in a state of agitation, demanding that journalist Maha Al-Sagheer be removed from the vehicle, and began using derogatory language and, as he described it, physically assaulting her.

The prosecution's decision after conflicting statements

Following conflicting accounts, the Public Prosecution issued a decision to seize surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the incident, summon eyewitnesses who were present at the time of the incident, and request investigations from the detectives to uncover the circumstances of the case and examine the vehicle involved in the incident.
