Iyad Nassar: I love cinema, but!

Artist Iyad Nassar revealed the reason for his interest in theater recently, and the reason for his distance from cinema, stressing that he was unable to find a film that suited him like his previous work, “The Blue Elephant,” in recent years. And the films "Casablanca", "Awlad Rizk", and "The Corridor" due to its emphasis on presenting "light comedy".

Iyad Nassar added, in an interview with Spotlight, that recent films focus on light comedy, which he confirmed is not the appropriate field for him.

He went on to say, "When films turn into comedies, I feel like I have no place. When films return to big projects, I will be in them again. I love films."

Iyad Nassar: My contract with the audience is to present valuable work Iyad Nassar said that he does not like the classification of series, whether they are special Ramadan series, programs, or seasonal series, adding that it is important to respect the audience and present authentic material without looking at the strict classification.

He continued: "My contract with the series is to provide the audience with work that is valuable, not harmful, and not provocative... I deal with my work with integrity, work that is valuable, and not boring."

He stressed that his efforts in drama during recent years culminated in his participation in many distinguished works that are considered distinctive signs of drama, and he said: In four of the films in which I participated, I was told that this is not an easy topic for an actor, but thank God. "

Iyad Nassar: Satisfied with the title of “Baligh Hamdi Drama” Iyad Nassar expressed his happiness with the audience calling it “Eloquent Hamdi Drama” after the success of the series “Silat Rahm”, which was shown in the first half of the Egyptian series Ramadan 2024 season, and he expressed his feelings and added: “It is great that the audience is the one who applies the title, because one does not "He never says 'nickname' to himself, or through one person, and the title has taken him relatively well so far."

He admits that he is a fan of the late musician Baligh Hamdi, stressing his great influence on Arabic music.

Speaking about his personal life, Iyad Nassar said that he has three boys and a girl, “Adam, Noah, and 11-month-old Ibrahim.” He said jokingly. “For the mother, it is more difficult, because she is dealing with strange creatures.”
