He defended his title at Battleground and lost it at SummerSlam to Brock Lesnar. He did not win the title at Night of Champions after Seth Rollins interfered. His team won at Survivor Series against The Authority. At the 2015 Royal Rumble, Cena failed to win the title against Lesnar and Rollins. After the Royal Rumble, Cena entered into a feud with the United States Champion Rusev at the beginning of the feud.
