Karis Bashar and Maxime Khalil in “The Crossing”

The Syrian artist, Karis Bashar, revealed the features of her character in the series “The Crossing,” which will bring her together with the Syrian artist Maxim Khalil, about 5 years after their last work together.

Caris Bashar promised her fans and fans a lot of suspense and enthusiasm through the character “Sara” that she will play in the series, indicating that “The Crossing” will narrate events that took place in 2005 in one of the border villages between Syria and Lebanon.

Karis stated that the time that the work talks about gave the author of the series more space to expand on its events and address the tensions that the region experienced during that period, away from modernity and social networking sites.

Karis extended special thanks to the director of the company producing the series, “Raed Sinan,” saying: “What he did is a precedent, because he is the first Lebanese producer to create a Syrian work with all its details, including actors, photographers, and artists.”

Show dates for the series “The Crossing” Regarding the date of showing the work, Karis Bashar confirmed that the series was not planned to be shown during the month of Ramadan 2024, adding: “The work is not originally prepared to be shown in Ramadan, as it consists of 15 episodes, and it will be shown on one of the platforms specialized in showing series.”

According to what the director of the company producing the series revealed, “The date and place of its showing are not yet known, but it is certain that it will not be part of the Ramadan drama race.”
