Kuwait settles the controversy over Bayoumi Fouad's salary in "Bayoumi's Coffee"

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information has settled the controversy on social media regarding what some reports published about Egyptian artist Bayoumi Fouad receiving 90 thousand Kuwaiti dinars (more than 294 thousand US dollars) in exchange for presenting a program on Kuwaiti state television called “Bayoumi’s Coffee.”

A decisive statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information The Ministry of Information issued an official statement, during the past few hours, about the costs of its contract with an Arab artist without mentioning his name, but Kuwaiti media confirmed that it meant the artist, Bayoumi Fouad.

The ministry said in its statement: We deny all false information published through some accounts on social media about the costs of our contract with an Arab artist.

The ministry stressed in its statement that all purchasing procedures for the programme are subject to the supervision of the relevant authorities in the country, noting that it has taken legal measures against publishers of “false information”, and called on everyone to verify the accuracy and credibility of their information published through the media, and to obtain it from official sources.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information's statement came after Egyptian media outlets reported a few days ago that Bayoumi Fouad will receive an amount exceeding 14 million Egyptian pounds in exchange for presenting a television program called "Bayoumi's Coffee", during which he will host many stars in the State of Kuwait.

“Biomy Coffee” Program Bayoumi Fouad appeared in a promo for Kuwait TV to promote its new program “Baoumi’s Coffee” and he appeared wearing the Gulf outfit.

In the promo, Bayoumi Fouad spoke in the Gulf dialect, saying, “May God bless you with good evening.” Then, he appears in more than one shot calling out to some of the stars who appeared in the promo, including Bashar Al-Shatti, and repeating the same words, “May God bless you with good evening.”

The details of the “Kahwet Biyomi” program and its air date have not yet been revealed.
