She indicated that she lived in a nightmare as soon as she learned that she had cancer, but after that she tried to encourage herself that she would fight it through treatment.

She continued: "One of the blessings in my life besides my son is that God protected me from illness, and my mother and Amr Adeeb stood by me during that period, and my friends, family, and some of those close to me."

Al-Hadidi added that her friends used to hold parties during chemotherapy sessions, and that she used to record episodes of her program with Professor Muhammad Hassanein Heikal after these parties ended, saying: “My friends used to come during the treatment session and throw a party, and I would finish the party and record the episode of Professor Muhammad Hassanein Heikal.” She confirmed that she was not absent from her fans for any day during her illness.
