Launch of the Day Without Accidents initiative in the Emirates with the start of the school year

With the start of the current academic year, the “A Day Without Accidents” initiative was launched, where the Ministry of Interior urged drivers and parents to adhere to traffic rules, especially with the start of the first school day. It explained that those who meet the conditions of the “A Day Without Accidents” campaign will be rewarded with a reduction of four black points for traffic violations. The first condition is to sign the pledge for the initiative through the link on the Ministry of Interior’s account on social media. The second condition is not to commit any traffic violations during this day, so that this will be an incentive and motivator for everyone to generalize this day, so that all days are free of accidents or traffic violations.

The UAE government seeks to achieve the highest levels of traffic safety Brigadier Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior, stressed that the “A Day Without Accidents” campaign comes within the framework of efforts and initiatives aimed at improving traffic safety to achieve the UAE government’s goal of achieving the highest level of traffic safety for all road users.

He stressed that this campaign aims to educate drivers about safety procedures, observing speed limits on roads around schools, not being distracted by using mobile phones while driving, observing traffic lanes, the safe distance between vehicles, pedestrian priority when crossing the road, emergency vehicle priority and other traffic conditions.
