The story goes back 44 years, when Hanan Al-Maqoub, a baby girl just days old, was found outside a mosque in Benghazi. She had been taken to an orphanage after her mother was informed that the newborn had died immediately after birth.

Not many years passed until she was adopted by a Libyan family, and she lived with them until she was twenty-six years old, the age at which she lost her adoptive parents.

Omar spoke about his mother, who suffered a health crisis during childbirth and was told her daughter had died, but throughout the years, she felt her baby was still alive.

This call raised doubts within Hanan, given the story's similarity to her own personal story. After further communication, it became clear that the caller was her biological brother, and that his mother had never stopped searching for her.

In a touching video posted on her social media accounts, Hanan said: “I thought I was of unknown lineage and cut off from the tree. Then I discovered that I have a mother who looks just like me, maternal and paternal uncles, and I belong to a large tribe in the city of Sabha.”
