Egyptian artist and producer Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz responded to the recent controversy surrounding the legal relationship between his late father, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and media personality Boussy Shalaby.

Media personality Amr Adeeb, during his program "Al Hekaya" (The Story), broadcast on MBC Mudar, quoted Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz as saying that media personality Boussy Shalaby is not included in the official inheritance announcement of the late artist, stressing that the official documents issued after his father's death do not include her name among the heirs.

Mohamed Abdel Aziz revealed that Boussy Shalaby filed a "return" lawsuit in 2021, demanding proof that her marriage to the late star was still ongoing after their divorce in 1998. However, the Egyptian judiciary rejected the lawsuit at all levels of litigation.

He explained, "Boussy lost all legal steps in the divorce case after her divorce from my father in 1998." Mohamed Abdel Aziz denied reports of a dispute over property or land, saying, "There is no land or anything related to the dispute... everything that is being said is inaccurate."

Mohamed expressed his sadness and dismay at his father's name being brought up in this kind of media controversy, saying, "I didn't want my father's name to be in the media like this... We are a family that respects itself and its fans."
