Mai El-Gheity continued: “I stayed in the hospital for weeks in Thailand and returned to Egypt to be with my family and receive treatment with their support. I didn’t want to share what happened at the time. I needed time to recover away from any pressure. After a period of physical therapy, we discovered something new every now and then. I am much better now, thank God, and this is something no one could have imagined after such a relatively short period.”
