Mai Helmy: These artists are my childhood crush

The broadcaster Mai Helmy revealed the period in which she made the decision to leave her previous job and start her career as a broadcaster, saying: “In order to become a broadcaster, I gave up a job in a very large company based in the Emirates with a large salary. I started there when I was 17 years old after graduating from university, and the owner of the company at the time told me that you are leaving the job and the position because of an unknown future and you have more.”

I left a salary in dollars and travel to Dubai every 6 months for my dream job. I didn’t know if I would have a salary or not, if I would succeed or not, if I would live the same life or not. So I had a choice and I chose to risk the unknown. The day I sat on the microphone, I swore that I would never leave it.”

Specifications of Mai Helmy's dream boy Mai Helmy also talked during the meeting about some of the specifications she cares about in a man, saying: “Age doesn’t matter to me. I care about the brain, and if he is fifty, I will accept it, and he should be single.”

Mai Helmy confirmed that she considers signing the marriage contract a responsibility, saying: “This is a paper that I have learned not to sign again. It requires thinking about his social status, and he needs a family, foundations, upbringing, and a home to come from.”

She continued: "Children are a responsibility and their father must be a sophisticated and respectful man, and I must be a sophisticated and respectful woman."

Regarding her childhood dream boy, Mai Helmy said, “When I was 3 or 4 years old, my crush was Hany Shaker and Iman El-Bahr Darwish, and at university, it was Mohamed Mohie, he is my heart.”
