Details of the 51st edition of the Film Association Festival Director of Photography Mahmoud Abdel Samee, head of the Film Association Festival, revealed that the honorees include actress Mona Zaki, actor Gamal Soliman, director Mohamed Yassin, and film critic Magda Khairallah, in addition to the late actor Hussein Riad and the late producer Sobhi Farhat.

Abdel Samee also revealed that the film "I Raised My Eyes to Heaven," directed by Nada Riad and Ayman El Amir, which was excluded from the competition due to its documentary status, will receive a special certificate of appreciation in recognition of its international award wins that have contributed significantly to Egyptian cinema.

It's worth noting that only seven films produced in 2024 were originally scheduled to be selected for the competition, but the number was increased to eight due to the close ratings in the festival's poll of critics and association members to select the best films from last year's commercial releases. He emphasized that each film on the list will receive a certificate of appreciation to be presented to the producer and director after its screening.

The Egyptian Film Association's annual festival administration also announced the formation of a jury headed by Dr. Walid Seif, which includes a select group of filmmakers, including Hany Lashin, Taisir Fahmy, Tarek El-Shennawy, Mounir El-Wasimi, and others.
