Nada Kousa, an “inspiration” with hope and challenge from Mexico

Beauty queen Nada Kousa sent a message of hope and resilience to all Lebanese from Mexico, in light of the difficult circumstances that Lebanon is going through, as she participates in the Miss Universe competition that will be held on November 17.

Miss Lebanon posted more than one video with her followers on social media, showing the atmosphere and backstage preparations for the global event.

Through it, she sent a message of hope and steadfastness to the Lebanese people, and said: “I say to the Lebanese people, that these circumstances are difficult for all of us, but this is not the first time we have been cut off in such circumstances, and every time we get back on our feet, and we get back to overcoming all circumstances. With my participation in “Miss Universe,” I want to carry hope, and I want to raise the name of Lebanon, and show the world that we are a mighty people and we can get there, and nothing can defeat us.”

Details of the insult to Lebanon and the decision to apologize In an interview with LBC, Nada Kousa revealed the details of the offensive video, in which two organizers appeared while evaluating the contestants’ photos and praised the photo of Miss Philippines while describing Nada’s photo as “ugly.” This incident sparked widespread resentment and Nada considered it an insult to Lebanon and its people, which prompted her to make a joint decision with the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and LBC not to participate unless an official apology was made and Lebanon’s reputation was restored.

Official apology and confirmation of participation Nada Kousa explained that the stance of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and LBC had put pressure on the organizers, as they sent an official apology and removed the offensive video from their official Instagram platform. Nada confirmed that the organization had provided assurances that what had happened did not represent the values of the competition, and that she would personally apologize upon her arrival in Mexico.
