In the first episode of the series “Silat Rahm,” director Tamer Nady used some songs that fit the “mod” of the character “Hossam,” presented by star Iyad Nassar.

Najat and Amr Diab in “Relative Connection”

The episode began with Najat’s little song, “I Dream with You,” written by Abdel Rahim Mansour and composed by Hani Shenouda. He chose a specific set of verses from it, which say, “I dream with you... of a ship and a port at anchor and we sail again... the wind is stubborn.” The director ended the scene with a picture of his son who is far away from him to describe Hossam and Mada’s condition. His longing for his son has become a distant dream, but he hopes for it despite the daily noise of the hospital where he works.

As for the second song, it was by Amr Diab, “Taba’ al-Hayat,” from the album “Our Days.” It was written by Medhat El-Adl and composed by Hamid El-Shaeri and Amr Diab. The song described another situation for “Hossam” after meeting his ex-lover, “Jihan,” while he was waiting for his wife. The director chose the following words from The song “Oh love, take us years with him... No matter how much we separate and say, ‘Oh... the sun rises every day’”, it appears that he still has some feelings for Jihan despite the distance, but he has a different life now.

<oembed url="https://www.instagram.com/p/C4YpbjEuS1D/"></oembed>

Afaf Radi in “Silat Rahm”

While Afaf Radi and her song “And You Ask, My Love” had lyrics by Sayed Hijab and music by Ammar Al-Sharaie, where “Nadi” chose the following words: “And you ask, my love, how much do I love you? ..
