<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Qatari media announced the death of Qatari artist Mohammed Al-Balam, after he was involved in a traffic accident following the evening prayer.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al Sharq website reported that the deceased was one of the pioneers of the theatrical movement in Qatar, and had worked since the 1970s as an actor, director, teacher, and theater director. His last work was directing the play "Dragging," which the Al Watan Theater Company participated in at the 37th Doha Theater Festival.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> In this context, the deceased was mourned by his artist, theater, and educator friends, as well as by his fans from all walks of life. The Al Watan Theater Group, of which he was a pioneer, also mourned him.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is noteworthy that the late Mohamed Al-Ballam began his artistic career as an actor in the Teachers' College in 1972. His first work was the play "House of Ghosts" in 1973, followed by the play "Our Problem is Within Us" in 1974, and his works continued after that.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He stated that Al-Balam had participated in many Gulf and Arab festivals, as an actor and director, and that he holds a bachelor's degree in acting and directing from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in Kuwait in 1985.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Artist Mohamed El Balam is a member of the Al Watan Theatre Troupe and one of the founders of the Al Sad Theatre Troupe in 1973. He has worked as a teacher, educational advisor, and director of the Theatre Guidance Department at the Ministry of Education, in addition to directing numerous theatrical productions.</p>
