Ramadan 2025 series.. Aicha Ben Ahmed and Ahmed Mekky in "Ain Shams"

In a new artistic experience, Tunisian artist Aicha Ben Ahmed stands for the first time opposite Egyptian star Ahmed Mekky in the lead role of the popular drama series “Ain Shams”, scheduled to be shown in Ramadan 2025.

This collaboration is considered a distinctive step for the artists, as Mekky is heading in this work towards a different type of drama than what his audience is accustomed to, and abandoning the comedic style in which he excelled in his famous series “Al Kabeer Awi.”

The role of Aisha bin Ahmed in “Ain Shams” Aicha Ben Ahmed plays the female lead role in the series, embodying the character of Ahmed Mekky’s lover in the events of “Ain Shams”. The story of the series revolves around a popular community, and realistically conveys the challenges of this environment and the daily lives of its individuals, within a social and human framework. With this work, Aicha continues to present new roles that highlight her acting abilities and enhance her presence in Egyptian drama, especially in the special Ramadan season.

A new experience for Ahmed Mekky away from comedy “Ain Shams” represents a qualitative shift for Ahmed Mekky, who this time moves away from comedy to present a popular drama that relies on human and social aspects that reflect the reality of the popular neighborhoods in Egypt.

Mekki's character in this work sheds light on the social conflicts and daily challenges that people face.
