Egyptian artist Akram Hosny published new photos from behind the scenes of his new series “The Captain”, which is scheduled to compete in the Ramadan 2025 season, and co-starring artist Aya Samaha.

Actress Aya Samaha is undergoing a new experience in the Ramadan 2025 drama, as she participates in the lead role of the series "The Captain" opposite the star Akram Hosny.

Aya Samah talked about the work, and refused to disclose any details about her character, while expressing her happiness to have her first experience with the star Akram Hosny: “I have presented comedic roles and works before, but what is new is that I am participating with Akram Hosny for the first time, and this adds a lot to the career I am working on, especially since Akram presents a sophisticated comedy that also aims to make people laugh and carries a message and a goal from the story.”

"Samah" continued, "What also makes me happy is that she is presenting a comedy with characters who, as a follower, love the type of comedy they present in their work, saying: "The comedy presented by Akram Hosny is the type of comedy that makes me laugh as a viewer, and the entire cast has experience in this area, starting with the producer, through the writers and the director as well, and this makes me feel reassured about the work."

Aya Samaha's statements about "The Captain" Aya Samah revealed that the character is completely different and she has never played it before, and she has been preparing for it for some time through rehearsals, constant communication with director Moataz El Tony, and discussions about all the details. She said: “In the Ramadan season, which is full of competition, it is important for me to be present in a strong artistic work with stars who have an audience and a record of success.” She continued: “Of course, I will benefit from the audience of each artist in the work.”

Aya Samah added that producer Karim Abu Zekry has a vision and a mind and is familiar with all the details of the work, and is interested in being present at all times during rehearsals, and presents ideas and a vision and discusses with everyone, and this makes her feel comfortable and creates a sense of trust among the work team, stressing that the series “The Captain” is the first collaboration with director Moataz El Tony, and she said: “Moataz is dangerous and I am happy to cooperate with him in this work, despite the fact that filming has not started yet, but the rehearsals confirm that he is a light-hearted director who understands comedy very well, and he will add a lot to the work.”

The Egyptian artist concluded that she is keen to read the script carefully with a pen, through which she writes down her notes and puts some ideas and jokes, and presents them to the director and discusses them, with the aim of producing a complete character.
