Raya Abirached reveals for the first time the details of her love story and marriage.

In an emotional and honest interview, media personality Mona El Shazly hosted her Lebanese colleague, Raya Abi Rashed, on the program "With Mona El Shazly" on ON TV. The interview, which aired Thursday evening, revealed a human and personal side of Raya's life, as she opened up for the first time about her romantic journey, her experience as a mother, and the challenge of returning to work after giving birth.

From Innocent Friendship to 14-Year Marriage

Ria recounted the beginnings of her love story, which began in England, when she met an Italian young man who led her to meet a close friend, who in turn connected her with her brother, Valerio Cammarano, who later became her husband. “I didn’t marry him because I wanted to get married, but because he was the right person… a life partner to grow old with, not just live a few years together,” Ria said. Despite 14 years of marriage, Ria confirms that love is still present: “He and I see ourselves together even at the age of ninety.”

"Lolina"... the fruit of a mature love

The most prominent thing that Raya talked about during the interview was her only daughter, “Lola,” whom she calls “Lolina,” and described as “the love of our lives.” Raya noted that her relationship with her daughter is a natural extension of the deep love between her and her husband, saying, “Lolina is the most precious thing in my life, and every moment with her is a blessing.”

Postpartum Interview: Challenge and Persistence

One of the stories that dazzled the audience was about an interview Rhea conducted with international star Matt Damon just two days after she gave birth. She said: “I was born on a Thursday, and on Saturday I did an interview with Matt Damon. It was 15 minutes about my home, and I felt like I was capable.” She added jokingly: “I looked like I was still pregnant, and Matt Damon still says I was the crazy person who came to do an interview after giving birth.”

Ria concluded her talk with a powerful message to women, emphasizing that true empowerment doesn't mean a single model of success, but rather the freedom for women to make the decisions that best suit their lives. She said: “Every woman has her own situation, and the important thing is that she can choose... whether she decides to devote herself to motherhood or balance between her home and her work... the important thing is that she chooses with conviction.”
