Producer Raymond Makar talked about his first production experience, the series “Jabal Al Halal” starring Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, which was shown in the 2014 Ramadan season.

Raymond said: After I founded the company with Mohamed, I went to the artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and told him that I wanted to cooperate with him. Then Mahmoud responded to him with laughter, in disapproval: “You want the first thing you do to work with Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.”

Raymond continued: I told him that all that matters to you is good paper, and I will provide you with good paper, as well as the wages you get from the market. Then the magician said to him: “And will you be able to bring me good paper?”

He continued: “I actually brought him the script for the series, and I love it very much, but he refused to work with it because it is a special person for him.” He continued: “He told me, ‘I agree, but I will not work with Mohamed at all. As far as I am concerned, you are the producer.’ He actually agreed and we started.”
